Parks and gardens
A green, sustainable city
Donostia/San Sebastián has a huge number of urban green areas, with easy access and great beauty. Our parks and gardens are the green lungs of the city and a clear reflection of our firm commitment to sustainability. A total of 20 spectacular parks throughout the city.

Cristina Enea

Miramar Gardens
These impressive gardens extend out in front of Miramar Palace, decorated with floral centrepieces and small trees, with La Concha Bay in the background.

Aiete Park
The part near the palace is the most well known, but all areas are worth taking a look and freely enjoying all the animal and plant life.

Miramón Park
One of the city’s largest parks, at the foot of the Arbide Towers. It has an overhead walkway to explore it to the full.

Ametzagaina Park
With four access points and a long bike lane, it’s ideal for a visit on wheels. It also has recreation spaces and kids’ play areas.

This is where you can take one of the most typical photographs of the city, with the façade of the city hall and La Concha Bay in the background.

Plaza Gipuzkoa
The gardens and paths located in the centre of this square are a meeting and resting place for many Donostians.

Parque de la Memoria
Inspired by traditional oriental gardens, this space has become a true symbol of coexistence, respect and peace.
