A day at the races
The warmest months of the year see the betting world gather at the San Sebastián Racecourse.
Horse races, and particularly the Copa de Oro (Gold Cup), one of the races in the prestigious Le Defi du Galop competition, attracts hundreds of spectators who come to have a good time and place bets on these exciting summer afternoons. On June began the season, horse-racing enthusiasts can’t miss this meeting!

The price of tickets for adults is €16, for young people and retirees the ticket costs €8, and for the rest, it’s free. The most important day is August 15th, with the Gold Cup, when the ticket price is slightly higher.
In addition to the races themselves, there will also be activities for the little ones, such as pony rides and a leisure club where two monitors lead activities. Both of these activities are free. The races begin between 5:15 p.m. and 5:50 p.m., depending on the day.
