Udane Juaristi. Gladys (2022)

Udane Juaristi (1985). Painter and muralist from Azkoitia, as a Gipuzkoan artist she is one of the most prominent names in the current scene. Throughout her career, she has had individual and collective exhibitions in various art galleries locally, nationally and internationally, has received numerous awards and has participated in international fairs such as Justmad.
The intervention by the artist from Azkoitia is inspired by various natural elements that coexist in the Cristina Enea park ecosystem.
Udane was inspired by the fauna and flora of the park and the river, given the location of this work at a point halfway between Cristina Enea and Urumea. Also, in a not very explicit way, the artist portrays herself as wanting to say that she is also part of this ecosystem through this mural intervention that will endure in that space along with the nature that surrounds it.

Lidia Cao is a young muralist and artist with an prestigious international career, having painted murals on five continents.
The Galician artist draws a parallel between Galician mythology and our own mythological stories, through the character Mari. She, Lidia Cao, often portrays women from the Galician rural imaginary and in this way, she again portrays a woman with the “young” appearance of those same women, facing the river from which Mari comes.
