3 Days in San Sebastián
Day 2: A stroll along the coast

Going up Mount Igeldo in the funicular that’s more than 100 years old is a good way to start the day and enjoy the best panoramic views of the city.

Back down again, don’t miss one of Donostia’s icons: El Peine del Viento by the internationally renowned Donostiarra artist Eduardo Chillida, the perfect example of beauty in its purest form, a deep dialogue between art and landscape.

Meandering through the gardens and along Ondarreta beach, you’ll get to Miramar Palace, a former summer residence of the Spanish royal family surrounded by gardens where you can relax with a stroll and take a break from the bustle.
Go for pintxos
In the Antiguo district you can try the typical Donostiarra pintxos just metres from the beach.

To let your meal go down, a pleasant stroll along La Concha beach to the Aquarium, which tells the fascinating history of the old Basque whalers.

Following the coastline, you’ll get to La Construcción Vacía, the sculpture by Oteiza, that welcomes you to Paseo Nuevo, which leads to the popular district of Gros with its charming terraces, shops and bars.

The promenade ends at the third beach, Zurriola, and the third sculpture: La Paloma de la Paz by Nestor Basterretxea.

Don’t miss the sunset from the Sagües wall surrounded by surfers and young people on their skateboards.

Spend a magical night magic in the famous Bataplán nightclub, right on La Concha beach where you can enjoy the best cocktails.
